Participants learn the importance of accurate assessment in the treatment of anxiety. The three-component model of anxiety is presented, and the principles of prolonged exposure are discussed. Participants learn to develop an exposure hierarchy as well as examine its application. Common cognitive biases in anxiety disorders are introduced, along with specific techniques to help clients challenge them.
