Addiction Studies

Early Bird Cost: $306.00 (HST included)

Requirements: Participants must complete six compulsory modules to receive a Core Certificate.

Overview: The Addiction Studies (ADS) Certificate Program provides knowledge and skills to clinicians who wish to enhance their understanding of substance abuse and addiction problems. Major areas of focus include assessment, referral, engagement skills, motivational treatments, evidence-based approaches and management of concurrent disorders. Participants observe demonstrations and have an opportunity to practise approaches in a workshop setting.

Please Note: The Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF) has approved Continuing Education Units (CEU hours) for most modules in this program; applicable modules are designated "15 CEU hours" below.
